  Although the outside is boring, the place is transformed when you get inside the guest quarters. It is smart, tidy, and clean. I was very impressed by the room: it was large, had a view of the dock and lake, a balcony with table and umbrella, and more free sockets than anywhere else we've stayed.

  It was a very pleasant afternoon, our waitress gave us one of the most pleasant experiences in a while. The menu was very diverse and their homemade bread was some of the best around.

  But as somewhere to stay it was excellent.

  Breakfast was included and was excellent. The only disappointment was our evening meal, when both our salads were poor (my Caesar had far too much dressing and is better served in a large bowl than flat plate, the garlic bread was the worst we've had).
